Family Pet Clinic of Newberg was established in 2002 by Dr. Randy Matthiesen and Dr. Dan Matthiesen. Starting any business with no clients can be a risky venture. However, Dr. Randy and Dr. Dan believed that with personalized service, caring attitudes, and superior veterinary care, a new clinic could thrive in the Newberg area.

After only five years of helping Newberg's pets, our success required that we expand to our current location. The extra room enables us to serve you and your pets better. Our lobby has been enlarged and includes a childrens area complete with miniaturized exam room that kids love to explore. The expanded surgery and treatment areas have increased our ability to manage emergencies as well as routine cases. Two new large exam rooms have been added because nobody (especially a 200 pound English Mastiff) enjoys feeling crowded.

In January 2012, Dr. Jennifer Greaves joined our practice.  As a college student, Dr. Jennifer worked with Dr. Randy Matthiesen.  He was very influential in Dr. Jennifer obtaining her DVM.  In 2006, after obtaining her undergraduate degree in Idaho, she graduated from the OSU/ WSU Veterinary School program.  Dr. Jennifer and her husband now live in the area where taking care of her daughter, horses, and her garden keep her very busy.
